Dr. Daniel Page: “Sacred, Beautiful, & Universal: The Church’s Teachings on Liturgical Music”

Daniel Page has served as Director of Sacred Music at Sacred Heart Parish and Sacred Heart Academy since 2014, having previously served parishes in  Florida, Massachusetts, Ohio, and Maryland. An enthusiastic choral conductor, organist, and teacher, Dr. Page has founded two Gregorian chant choirs, has conducted choral festivals in several states, served on the executive boards of  the Boston, Berkshire, and Grand Rapids chapters of the American Guild of Organists.

He has lectured in five countries. and has given workshops at the Church Music Association of America annual Colloquium.  He earned a Master of Fine Arts degree and and PhD in Music History and Analysis in the 1990s, as well as being awarded a Fulbright scholarship for research in London. Along the way, Dr. Page has also been a university faculty member and dean of freshmen. He’s very proud of his former students, some of whom are: teaching at university level, performing with world-class musicians, or entering religious life. His favorite hobbies are genealogy and celebrating the Office of Prone on Sunday afternoons.
