Our April speaker is Fr. Mark Rutherford, who will present a talk entitled: “Legislating Morality: Law and the Common Good.” Please note that this event is held on the 4th Saturday of April, not the 3rd Saturday.
Fr. Mark serves as Administrator of St. Mary Catholic Church in Williamston. Born and raised in Michigan, he is a graduate of Ave Maria College, where he earned undergraduate degrees in Theology and Philosophy. During his formation for the priesthood, Fr. Mark earned both an M.Div. and an S.T.B. from Sacred Heart Major Seminary. He was ordained to the priesthood in 2009, and served as Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick in Brighton and the Church of the Resurrection here in Lansing before becoming Administrator of St. Mary’s. Fr. Mark is in the process of completing a Licentiate in Canon Law at Catholic University of America.
